A year ago I started my first day at ArtéKatz. I remember the excitement the first morning, not being able to sleep and butterflies doing Olympics in my stomach. I decided then to go down stairs and sit with Bushy and Qwizzy who were very happy someone was awake to give them some love. A moment later Cherylee came out searching for me, the day was about to start. I became Cherylee's shadow learning the routine and all the cats, which took me about three months to remember everyone's names. Long hours were ahead yet the love of the cats made it all seem like a few minutes longer.
I have learnt how to care for cats and learning every day, watched 16 births (still love watching the mothers grow and then these cute little kittens come into the world), watched countless kittens grow into these lovable cats, experienced some cats pass away which are always hard to deal with, how to take photos of cats and gone to cat shows and met some amazing people there.
I am thankful for the rough times to learn, the times I had to say goodbye to places I loved and go to places I did not like in order to get to where I am today. I'm so glad I chose passion and not money because I would trade money over cats any day.
A special thank you to my boss for dealing with me for a year, you are amazing and I love learning from you :)
