It's that time of the year where all the animal crazy people get together at Gallagher Convention Centre.
This is truly a wonderful event where you have dogs, horses, little critters and of course cats.
We were there supporting the Siberians all three days, Cherylee was looking after our precious babies and spoke to lots of people who were interested. All of our babies were well behaved and I was very proud of our fist timers to the crazy busy show.
Oliver K, Oliver S, Sheena and I were manning the stand selling our various cat toys and our new range of Hemp toys and other happy cat goodies which was made by Jimmy the owner of Happiness Is, so be sure to take a look and see what tickles your fancy or if you would like to find out more about this wonderful stress free product., Sam from Purrfect Family Blog was also assisting us and was doing a wonderful job.
So what happens before and after the show. It was so busy getting ready and during the show so here is an update.
The two weeks before the show we started getting the stock and stands ready. The one day I was cleaning our table banners and Paloma was my helpful assistant, she helped making the time go by faster and much more fun. I must say that there might have been a few claw and bite marks but hey the boss didn't notice ;)
We also packed stock, some of the ZaKatz refills were not labeled and Redford helped me on that side, usually we try to do the labeling when the kittens are out as they can make all the toys end up on the other side of the room. He was enjoying himself trying to catch all the refills as the fell once being labeled.

On Thursday Oliver K, Oliver S and I headed to Gallagher to set up our stand. We were right in front of the entrance to the cats which is lovely and you get a lot of feet. Cherylee stayed at home just in case we forgot something and of course we did. We arrived at about 11:30 and finished at 16:00, our stand was packed and ready for the next day.
Friday was quite quiet on our side although by the cats it was a bit busy. Saturday and Sunday were quite busy, People flocked in from all over, dogs came past our stand and played with the ZaBird, owners attached which was quite funny when you get large dogs chasing this little bird and the owners dragging on behind them.
The cat venue was very busy and I am amazed the cats behaved so well. It is always quiet here at home, besides the constant fire trucks and ambulance, so the show was quite stressful for the cats. Some of the cats completely zone out, some freak out which you don't want and others like our Demi loved every person that walled by

By Sunday afternoon all the cats were ready to go to their home but first we had to do best of show.
As the UK judge was in the ring with the top 11 cats my stomach was in a knot, as he counted down he would walk from person to person teasing them and my poor stomach muscles I couldn't take it. Our gorgeous Danver made 8th place and we are so very proud of him, when he was 8 months old he was best kitten and this year he made it back to the ring.

After a long crazy weekend all the cats are happy to be home, peace and quiet in their own garden.
Hope you were able to visit us, and would love to hear your experiences at the show.
