Today I had the wonderful pleasure of watching the girls act silly, this happens every day yet some days the moments are extra special.
The girls were mostly quiet today as Cherylee was at a show and I only arrived around 15:00. As soon as I was in the garden it became alive as the girls started to come out of their sleeping spots.
Nena and Pixel were the most entertaining, they were sort of litter mates, Nena and Nirvana were introduced together with Chelsy and Nushka’s kittens. Each litter played with each other, every now and then playing all together. Nirvana has found his forever home which he loves and fits right in, so now little Nena was lost for a few days. Soon she found Pixel (Nushka’s kitten) and they have been besties from there on.
Today they were going crazy, stalking and pouncing each other and chasing each other with their tails lifted a little. At one moment there was a ball of Silver and Brown rolling all over the lawn as they tackled each other.
We also had a lovely moment where Demi got out! Don’t ask me how.
Before I made myself a cup of coffee I stood by the door and saw Demi climbing the tree, I smiled at the joy of seeing her climbing the trees, then I went and made myself a lovely cup of coffee, as I was walking towards the door out of the house I saw Cessi following someone, I thought to myself that Paloma is at the show so who is she following as this cat was as fluffy as her, I turned around and headed in direction they went to. And there she was, Demi, in the kitchen. I still have no idea how she got in, and she looked so comfortable walking around in the house. I wonder if she has been in here before …
This also reminds me of a time when Chelsy and Pavla got out. At least this time we know how. I was sitting on the other side of the pool looking towards the house, which is outside the cattery. The next minute I said to myself “Oh look there is Chelsy by one of the plants” and then it clicked, I then saw Pavla as well, now we have a problem. Number one, Chelsy is not one of those cats that likes to be brought inside at night and number two if two cats are out then we have a hole somewhere. In actual fact it was not a hole, we left one of the double doors open and Pavla just jumped on the door and pushed the leaver over of the other one and Bob’s Your Uncle the door was open. Luckily we got them both in, both doors closed, and a very watchful eye on Pavla.
Cats are clever, silly and most of all lovable. So glad I get the pleasure to work with them every day.
